John Corbett is set to make his debut in HBO's And Just Like That, and it may just be real this time. According to a report byDeadline, the actor, who plays beloved furnituremaker Aidan Shaw, is set for a significant, multi-episode arc on the second season of HBO's Maxs Sex and the City.

Fans were eager for Aidan's return during the first season of the show, which aired from December to February. After Corbett confessed to Page Six months before it was even released, he said he'd do the show and that he'll be in quite a few episodes.

Executive producer Michael Patrick King dismissed the reports and told Deadline that [Aidans returning] is a major narrative that everybody at home had never imagined.

Sarah Jessica Parker, the star and executive producer of Corbett's cruel prank on theSex and the Cityfanbase, found it both funny and enjoyable.

When Andy Cohen spoke up, very generously, because he isn't a gentleman, and I was like, No, no, no, no, it's a free country first of all. And I thought it was very enjoyable and kind of fun, she said on Watch What Happens Live.

In the first episode of And Just Like That, Corbett played Aidan, Carrie Bradshaw's (Parker) boyfriend, and quickly became a fan favorite. He reprised his role in the sequel in Abu Dhabi when Carrie randomly ran into him during her visit to Abu Dhabi.

Maybe producers finally heard our pleas for a big Aidan return in Season 2, and now that Mr. Big is gone, it may be the ideal time for the two characters to get acquainted.

Decider has reached out to HBO Max for confirmation.
