Kiely Rodni, an 18-year-old girl,'s disappearance remains a mystery.
Kiely Rodni, 16, from California, has been missing for ten days after failing to return from a large senior send-off party near Lake Tahoe.
According to the Placer County Sheriff's Office, a video recording from the night Rodni disappeared has been obtained. It depicts her wearing different attire than what was originally expected to wear.
Kiely borrowed a hoodie with a song lyric on the front, according to detectives last week. The new video has provided them with the most recent information.
Authorities released a photo of a pink and white hoodie reading odd future, and a video apparently showing Rodni wearing one of them was shot on August 5.
They have not ceased looking for information about the hours that followed.
During a press conference on Monday, Placer County Sheriffs Officer Lt. Josh Barnhart said, "If anyone has more video, no information is too small." They are also looking for additional testimony from witnesses at the party.
Rodni was last seen at the Prosser Family Campground, where a large group of young people (about 200-300) was having a party on the morning of August 6th.
On Friday, searchers discovered what they believed was a dog burial site near the campground.
Despite extensive search efforts, Rodnis' phone was never seen near the lake, but neither she nor her 2013 Honda CR-V were recovered. Authorities have announced plans to reduce their efforts after ten days.
The amount of manpower employed so far in Nevada County has been estimated at about 9,000 manhours, which is quite incredible.
Daniel Rodni, Rodni's father, expresses his gratitude for the search efforts and the $25,000 contribution to the reward fund.
The last ten days, according to him, have been nothing but agony.
Every day is a rollercoaster. Daniel Rodni said emotions are out of control.
Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, the teenager's mother, has issued an unfavorable plea to anyone who saw the incident to contact the police.
It's difficult to be courageous. It's OK to be scared. We promise you that you won't be in any trouble, Lindsey Rodni-Nieman said.
