The Driver, based on the BBC One series of the same name, is being developed by Danny Brocklehurst and Sunu Gonera. Along with Giancarlo Esposito, Josh Kesselman, David Morrissey, and Theo Travers, the two actors also play the roles of executive producers.

On March 8, 2022, a television series adaptation of the BBC One series was announced. It will launch on AMC in 2023.

Plot and Cast of the Driver

Danny Brocklehurst and Sunu Gonera, along with showrunner Theo Travers, have created a new series for the United States. Esposito plays Vince, a taxi driver who finds his life turned upside down when he agrees to take the ride of the Zimbabwean gangster The Horse (Zackary Momoh), well-known for exploiting illegal immigrants in the United States' southern ports.

Ulrich will play Colin, an old friend of Vince (Esposito) in the original series. Its a recreation of Ian Hart's role in the original series.

The driver's release date has been announced.

The producers haven't revealed much about the program yet. However, we can anticipate it to be released in 2023.
