With their seventh studio album FOREVER 1 with a title track of the same name, Girls Generation made their return as a band after five years. On one end the group has been achieving a new high, on the other side they have been subjected to plagiarism accusations.

The band released their long-awaited album on August 5, 2022, along with the music video for FOREVER 1, but the result was accused of plagiarism. The object- having copied the Tokyo Disney Seas 15th-anniversary logo in the music video.

While there had been no official announcements about this until recently, the filmmaker of the music video issued an apology on social media. He then apologizes for borrowing the design without doing a background check on it.

He assures everyone that he will never do this again, and apologizes to the girl group, SM Entertainment, and the fans.

While the accusations of plagiarism are high, supporters continue to show their support for the Girls Generation.
