Films featuring Haikyu!! have arrived! The producers have decided not to continue the Volleyball series without bringing two feature-length films.

After a 5-day countdown that began on the official website on August 8, the announcement was made on Twitter on Saturday. Learn more about the upcoming Haikyu!! movies.

The Two Films Have Been Shared in a Teaser

The official Twitter account of Haikyu!! also released a teaser for the two-part finale. The teaser includes several panels from the Furudatas manga, some from the post-time skip story arc.

The announcement video has also revealed a akick-off eventa that is scheduled for August 2023, although the exact dates aren't yet released. Others are disappointed that the beloved series is coming to an end.

Some are concerned that many vital plot points from the manga will be missed in the films since there are still 110 chapters left to be covered in the anime, and each film will have to be between 5 and 6 hours long to cover them all.

Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime centered on Shoyo Hinata's love of volleyball. Inspired by a small-statured professional volleyball player, Hinata assembles a volleyball team in his final year of high school.

In their first tournament, Hinata is matched up against the King of the Court Tobio Kageyamas team, which they lose. After the crushing defeat, Hinata vows to surpass Kageyama. After entering high school, Hinata joins the volleyball team only to discover Tobio has also joined.

The first season of the anime series was released in April 2014, with 25 episodes. The second and third seasons followed in subsequent years. However, the fourth season came out in January 2020.

After a much-hyped match, Karasuno triumphed over Inaruzaki. Fans are now eager to know what the future holds for the boys of Karasuno, which will serve as the backdrop for the two-part finale films.

Haruichi Furudate's Manga series is the basis for the show.

Haruichi Furudate's manga series Haikyu!! was published in Shueishas Weekly ShAnen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020, with its chapters collected in forty-five volumes.

Over 50 million copies of the series have been sold across the world, and it consistently ranked among the best-selling manga in Japan during its initial run. The series was later transformed into Anime by Production I.G.

Ayumu Murase (Noragami) as Hinata and Kaito Ishikawa (Backflip!!) as Kageyama are two experienced and popular voice actors in the showas cast. Others include Kouki Uchiyama (The Ancient Magus Bride), Daisuke Namikawa (Boruto: Naruto Next Generations), Yuu Hayashi (Tokyo Revengers) and Kaori Nazuka (The Case Study of Vanitas).
