Wakefern brings CB4 to ShopRite and Price Rite Marketplace Stores to drive sales and meet demand

New York, Sept. 14, 2021 -- CB4 and Wakefern Food Corp. announced plans for expanding Cb4 technology to additional stores after successful rollout in several ShopRite and Price Rite stores. The CB4 app uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to improve sales, save time and monitor the products.

Wakefern is the largest retailer-owned cooperative in the United States. Nearly 50 members own and operate 362 retail stores under banners like ShopRite and Price Rite Marketplace. Wakefern first piloted the CB4 app in 2020.

The CB4 solution can be used for a long time by owner, allowing shoppers to track prices, out-of-stock items, inventory discrepancies and other common back end issues.

The CB4 app enables the stores to list unique SKUs with respect to their individual selling patterns and operations to prevent stock discrepancies that can hold back replenishment and sales. The technology allows store teams to make quick fixes like updating inventory management, printing a new label or taking items out of back stock. These quick adjustments can help meet demand for the customer and increase sales.
