Ronnie Ortiz-Magro spoke candidly to Mike The Situation Sorrentino about his year of sobriety on the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

On the Thursdays episode of the MTV show, the Famously Single alum, 36, sat down for lunch with his co-star, 40, marking his first appearance in eight months.

In the scene taken in the spring of this year, Ortiz-Magro said, it's been a long year.

He continued. Im trying to live the best life I can, one day at a time.

The celebrity fear factor alum who claimed to be in deep depression but is working on it. His 4-year-old daughter, Ariana, was revealed in a statement.

In a confessional, he said that after one of the hardest years of his life, he misses his castmates.

Ortiz-Magro said she has been through some tough times. I got through them. I understand and that's part of recovery as well. What matters is that I've got through it. Im going to continue to get through it.

Sorrentino's part, became sober in 2016, and he encouraged his friend to stay on the road to recovery.

He praised Ortiz-Magros' decision to apologize to their co-stars, suggesting that he say sorry individually as his actions have affected everyone.

Ortiz-Magro promised his return in August 2021, declaring, "I'll be back. All of the fans love me, and I love them too, so I'll give them what they desire," and I'll see them soon.

Ortiz-Magro announced his retirement from the program three months ago, the same day he dodged charges for an April 2021 arrest for an alleged domestic violence confrontation with his then-girlfriend Saffire Matos.

At the time, he was on probation for a previous domestic violence conviction related to an encounter with Harley, 34.

During his MTV break, reality star informed his Instagram followers last year about his intention to seek medical treatment for mental health concerns.

Ortiz-Magro wrote at the time that my number one goal is to face my challenges head on. This process will be challenging, but my primary goal is to be the best father I can be for my daughter.

In May of the following year, he announced that he would be celebrating 365 days sober.
