Angelina Jolie was seated by her daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitts' side during her new student orientation at Spelman College on Thursday, Aug. 11. She posed next to Zahara, 17, and the schools Vice-President of Student Affairs Darryl Holloman in photos posted to her Instagram account on Thursday, Aug. 11.

The 17-year-old will begin her freshman year at the Atlanta-based HBCU (historically black colleges and universities) her first move from Los Angeles, CA. The female-only college was founded in 1881, initially as the Atlanta Baptist Female Seminary, before becoming Spelman College in 1924.

Zahara will begin her first day of classes on Aug. 17 following a new student orientation from August 10-15. The school is well-known to be a liberal arts college, with Zahara also suggesting she pursue a film career like her mother and father Brad Pitts.

In a video captured by Holloman, Angelina revealed, I'm gonna start crying! I haven't begun crying yet. The president then comforted her, revealing that tomorrow is the big night and she's holding everything together.

What's new in the world?

Zahara, a youngster from TheLara Croft, was revealed to be returning to school in early August. She was photographed posing with other students from the school, clearly excited about her next chapter. Angelina captioned the July 31 photo.

Zahara isnt the first Jolie-Pitt adolescent to go to college: big brother Maddox, 21, is a senior at South Koreas Yonsei University since 2019.
