After smashing her Mini Cooper into a Los Angeles home, Anne Heche is being investigated for a felony DUI.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department has increased its investigation to a felony. A woman claimed she was hurt and needed medical treatment following Heche's crash into her house.

This step has come after Page Six revealed Monday that officers had received a warrant to test the actress' blood to see if she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the accident.

Heche, 53, was discovered intoxicated when she crashed her automobile into two different buildings before it was engulfed in flames. She sustained severe burns as the vehicle became caught fire.

The information we received this morning was a warrant that was obtained the same day as thetraffic collision, which occurred on August 5. The warrant was to draw blood, and an investigation is ongoing pending the blood test results, according to a reporter for the LAPD.

If he is convicted of DUI, [Heche] may be charged with misdemeanor DUI. Bisher no arrests have been made.

A neighbor had previously spoken to People and said that the woman whose house was destroyed by the accident was very fortunate to live without injuries.

When Lynne Bernstein was in a different room, she said.

I dont believe she got what she was doing. She said, What happened? Before she was aware of her neighbor, Bernstein said.

She also claimed that a Heches automobile drove almost all the way through the house and promptly caught fire.

The woman who was injured in the accident is still unclear.

Heche is still in serious condition after going into a coma.

Anne Heche became unconscious shortly after the accident, slipping into a coma, according to her spokesperson on Page Six.

She has a significant pulmonary injury that requires mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention.

According to eyewitnesses, the actress smashed into a nearby apartment complex's garage before being backed up and sped off before residents could assist her.

Officials with the LAPD West Traffic Division have confirmed that she killed another vehicle before plowing into the house that went up in flames and left her severely burned.

Celebrities have been sent to social media after the accident to express their well-wishes.
