Despite demands to improve representation, Marvel Studios continues to break ground when it comes to better representation on-screen. The MCU is now supported by a much more diverse cast in its movies and streaming projects, with perhaps no better example than next year'sIronheart.

Shea Coulee, a former Disney+ star, will playDominique Thorne as the young genius, Riri Williams. The teen genius will be joined by RuPaul'sDrag Racefan-favorite. Coulee is the first non-binary actor to appear in the franchise, marking yet another boundary in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

AndIronheart's diverse cast does not stop there, as yet another name is set to claim their place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe mosaic.

Earlier this year, a casting call revealed thatIronheartwas looking for an actor to play a "Black, Latina, or Afro-Latina transgender character." It's unconfirmed who will play this role.
