Following a fiery incident that left her severely burned Friday, Anne Heche is in stable condition.
Anne is in good health, according to a rep for the actress, 53.
In this difficult time, her family and friends want your thoughts and prayers and to protect your privacy.
Her ex-boyfriend reportedly told the Daily Mail that she is expected to make it.
Thomas Jane, who dated Heche in 2019, said of the outlet: "My thoughts and prayers are with Anne, one of her great talents."
Thank God no one else was hurt.
The latest update comes one day after the actress from Six Days Seven Nights crashed her blue Mini Cooper into several buildings before it caught fire.
Bystanders attempted to rescue the actress from her car after she crashed into a parking garage, according to TMZ. However, she reportedly backed up and drove off before striking a different residence, where her car was engulfed in flames.
The actress was taken away on a stretcher in aerial photographs of the incident. Her clothes and back were evidently burnt.
Heche is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol, as a bottle with a red cap was discovered in her car shortly before the accident. This information was not verified by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The actress was also seen speeding down a neighborhood street moments before the accident in a video obtained by TMZ.
Heche was intubated in the hospital, but was expected to live, according to sources.
Because her condition prevented it, there could be no testing to determine if she was under the influence.
Heche, who dated Ellen DeGeneresin the 1990s, has been very open about her previous bout with substance abuse.
I drank. I smoked. I did drugs. I had sex with people. I did everything I could to get the shame out of my life, she said of ABC News in 2001, adding that she used alcohol and drugs to cope with her father's sexual abuse.
Heche's representatives were unable to be immediately reached.
