Many believed that streaming demands are driving films out of theaters. While some films relish in their long-running theatrical run, it has provided the opportunity for others to increase their various streaming offerings. While Disney+ appears to be sticking to it, Warner Bros. Discovery may have other intentions.

To say that Warner Bros. Discovery's changes have been bizarre is to paint only one picture. While the previous group was keen on expanding its new streaming service with HBO Max, the current one is shifting away from the foundation that was laid out. Part of that is the revelation that they are no longer guaranteeing that they will adhere to the modern 45-day release schedule.

Streaming hasn't run its course yet, but there are still roadblocks to be overcome. Due to the events that have taken place since the epidemic ended, investors are likely to have to change their strategies. It's not unusual for Netflix to lose subscribers for the first time since it began.
