Tim Roth will reprise his role as Emil Blonsky in the next Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney-at-Law. He is the second actor from the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk to join production, following William Hurt as General Thunderbolt Ross in Captain America: Civil War.
While he does not reveal any specifics on his specific role, he does look back fondly at The Incredible Hulk; even calling it a big budget independent film as it was in development before the Marvel Cinematic Universe truly came together. He did highlight that it was a significant transition in terms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I was surprised by Tatiana Maslany's return, and I didn't know how to go about my business. It was a bit disconcerting. When Mark Ruffalo showed up to do his job that I was involved in, I said, Oh, thats what we were doing. Okay, then I knew what to do.
He joked about how unique it was to play alongside Mark Ruffalo, who is the second actor in the franchise to take on the mantle. Edward Norton originally played him in The Avengers, but he and Ruffalo seemed to have a lot of fun with it on film.
I was like, You've changed. (Laughs) It's kind of fun. We used to hang around and chat in between performances, and we enjoyed ourselves. I respect Mark very much as an actor, so even in those bizarre and wonderful situations, that one was a treasure.
It sounds like he had a lot of fun with the project, which adds to his uniqueness of joining after so long. It's not just a straightforward comedy, but also a completely different kind of project that's going to be available on Disney+ exclusively. So, it's going to be exciting if that behind-the-scenes energy continues into the streaming series.
