Kevin Feige Reacts to Batgirl's Cancellation News

Kevin Feige Reacts to Batgirl's Cancellation News ...

Warner Bros.' recent actions have prompted the industry to reel from the changes. Batgirl, a film that was almost finished, was completely canceled due to these changes, and this is not unusual. Many long-time industry professionals are equally shocked as the general public.

The reason for the canceled deal? A tax write-down. Supposedly, it may have had something to do with its beauty, but that's been refuted, so it's unclear if it even plays into the situation at all.

Both the directors and lead actress Leslie Grace have made public statements in response to the news, but reactions are still coming out. Now, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has responded to the sad news.

Kevin Feige's Message to Batgirl Directors

In a recent Instagram story,Ms. MarvelandBatgirldirector Adil El Arbi revealed a moving message he received from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in the wake of his wedding and the cancellation of his HBO Max original DC film.

Feige congratulated El Arbi on his wedding and expressed his remorse for the cancellation of the film "Batgirl," which was co-directed by Bilall Fallah:

"I had to reach out to you and let you know that we are all thinking about you both. Because of the wonderful news about the wedding (congrats!) and the disappointing news about Batgirl." "I'm so proud of you guys for all the amazing work you do, and particularly Ms. Marvel of course! Can't wait to see what comes next for you. I'll see you soon."

The director concluded the post with a simple "thanks brother Kevin."

El Arbi gives a brief tribute to everyone for "all the kind words and experience" he received from Edgar Wright and James Gunn, who "meant" a lot and [helped them] through this difficult period.

Kevin Feige, a Class Act, is a class act.

Kevin Feige's willingness to reach out as a result of his expertise is a class act. It has never been in doubt that the president of Marvel Studios has a good connection with the artists he works with, but this is just proof.

He's likely to be the only one to offer words of encouragement. There are likely to be dozens of others who have offered encouragement that will never be shown to the public.

Whether or not Marvel Studios will pursue the two Batgirl directors sooner rather than later, what are the odds that their talents will be of great use if Ms. Marvel returns for a second season. After all, the episodes they worked on for the heros debut were the finest of the bunch.

Fingers crossed that no matter what happens, things will start looking up for them.

Ms. Marvel is now available for streaming on Disney+.
