Days of Our Lives is settling down from network television. After more than 57 years, the long-running soap operapremiered on NBC, it is now moving to the NBCUniversal-owned streaming service, Peacock. The streaming service, which has several payment levels, will only offer the show to users who pay $4.99 for the Premium tier or $9.99 for the Premium Plus tier, according to Nexstar.

Days of Our Lives will be moved to Peacock on September 12 while previous episodes are already available for streaming on the platform. The channel's open timeslot will be filled by NBC News Daily, an hourlong news program headed by Kate Snow, Aaron Gilchrist, Vicky Nguyen, and Morgan Radford.

According to the New York Times, this move allows us to build the long-running fans of the Days of Our Lives shows on streaming while at the same time providing a valuable, live programming opportunity for partners and consumers.
